EasyMedLogger
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
EasyMedLogger is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App.
Data Storage
All data you enter — medications, dose logs, weight and blood pressure readings, daily notes, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. None of your health data is ever transmitted to any external server, cloud service, or third party. There is no account to create, no cloud backup, and no copy of your records anywhere but your own device.
The App does make one network request that contains no personal or health information, described under App Updates below.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect personal information.
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry.
- We do not require user accounts or login.
- We do not share any data with third parties.
- We do not show ads, use advertising identifiers, or offer in-app purchases.
App Updates
The App uses Expo's over-the-air update service so that fixes and improvements can be delivered without waiting for an app store release. When the App launches, it contacts Expo's update servers to ask whether a newer version is available. That request includes only technical details such as your platform, the app and runtime version you are running, and an anonymous installation identifier.
No health data, no personal information, and no contents of your records or files are ever included in this request. This update check is the only network service the App contacts on its own.
Notifications
If you enable medication reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and are not sent through any external push notification service.
Reminder notifications include the medication name and dose so you know what to take, which means that information can appear on your lock screen. If you would prefer it not to, you can turn reminders off in Settings, or adjust how much notification content your device shows on the lock screen in your system settings.
Data Portability
The App gives you three ways to get your data out, and all of them are under your control:
- CSV export — save your medications, dose logs, and health logs as spreadsheet files.
- CSV import — bring data back in from a file you select. The App reads a file only after you have picked it yourself, and it has no other access to your device's storage.
- PDF doctor report — generate a printable summary of a period you choose to share with a healthcare provider.
Exported files are written to the App's temporary storage and then handed to your device's standard share sheet, so where a file goes is entirely your choice. If you add a patient name when generating a doctor report, it is used for that one PDF and is not saved to the database.
Automatically Recorded Doses
So that your history stays complete, the App automatically marks scheduled doses from the past two weeks as missed if they were never logged as taken or skipped. This means part of your dose history is recorded by the App rather than entered by you. You can change or delete any of these entries.
Data You Can Delete
You can delete individual medications, dose logs, health readings, and daily notes at any time. Settings also includes a Delete All Data option that removes all medications, dose logs, health logs, and daily notes, cancels every scheduled reminder, and resets the App to its initial state.
Because there is no server and no cloud copy, deletion is immediate and complete. Uninstalling the App also removes all of your data from your device permanently.
Third-Party Services
The App is built with Expo, a development platform for React Native. The production release of this App does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection SDKs. Expo's update service, described above, is the only external service the App communicates with.
Children's Privacy
This App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
